
The Black Class Action Secretariat (BCAS) is pleased to welcome Angela Simmonds to our Board of Directors. Angela is a highly respected lawyer, former Member of the Legislative Assembly, and former Deputy Speaker of the Nova Scotia Legislature. She brings a wealth of experience in law, public policy, and cultural competency development, making her an invaluable addition to our leadership team.
Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Accomplished Black Women, Angela has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing equity, justice, and systemic change. Her leadership and advocacy in addressing racial disparities align with BCAS’s mission to combat systemic discrimination and promote workplace equity.
